THE RAISIN
Nos baskets Alpha sont fabriquées en déchets de raisin. Cette matière souple à l’aspect grainé est une alternative vegan au cuir animal.
Manufacturing process :
1) Recovery of waste from wine production (skins, pips, residues)
2) Crushing the waste and mixing with grape seed oil and water-based PU to obtain a thick paste
3) Application of a vegetable dye to the paste, which is then spread and compressed with a roller to become a soft, grainy, leather-like material.
4) Assembly of the material by our Portuguese craftsmen to give life to the Alpha
CORN
Our Alpha Velcro trainers are made from corn waste. PETA approved and GRS certified, this innovative material is a real alternative to fossil fuels due to its plant-based composition, derived from renewable resources.
Manufacturing process :
1) Maize harvesting - no impact on the food chain
2) Extraction of bio-polyols from non-food, non-GMO cereals of European origin
3) Mixing of bio-polyols with PU and dye to become a smooth and solid material
4) Assembly of the material by our Portuguese craftsmen to give life to the Velcro
